Belle of the Graduation

Last night, the PCT's in Sovet all went as guests of honor to the high school graduation. I guess graduation is the Kazakh version of prom. Many of the girls were wearing hoop skirts. Their hair was very, very done and unlikely to come undone until they are naturally gray. Apparently, blue sparkly hair is the in thing this year. They held the ceremony indoors in a narrow auditorium. THe best part was the lady on the keyboard who played - I am not kidding you - the theme to Tetris as the graduates received their diplomas. The PCT's were the backdrop. We stayed in place, while the five girls we knew took turns wedging in (the hoop skirts were problematic)for a few photos. Good times, good times.
